To celebrate 25 years of equestrian sport here at Pontispool, we decided it was time to have a rebrand to better reflect where we are today - we hope you like it!
Throughout the last 25 years we have continually invested in our facilities. Of course, first came the cross country course set in over 200 acres of parkland – opening in 1999. Over the years we have added more water complexes and ditches, made use of the natural terrain and increased the variety of fences and combinations with the help of well known, professional course designers; we now boast over 200 fences available on grass.
Then there is our world-class all-weather arena…this has expanded significantly, now standing at approximately three and a half acres, including water, steps, ditches and changes in terrain. It is perfect for schooling and arena eventing as well as the ideal venue for holding show jumping and dressage competitions - we are proud to be one of the largest in the whole of the UK.
The addition of our six-furlong circular all weather gallop in 2016 has made us stand apart from other cross country facilities and is popular all year round. Stabling has expanded from the early days too, now boasting 49 stables available to hire for competitions, holidays or camps.
Our accommodation offering has also changed over the years and we are proud of the new lodges that were installed last year and have added improved free wifi this year, upgrading the accommodation options for our adult camps. New for 2023 we have added a comfy lounge area, with leather sofas, TV and kitchen facilities, available when booking our lodges and making your stay at Pontispool even more comfortable. With all this investment in our facilities it was about time our brand reflected our position as one of the country’s premier competition and training venues. We will soon be launching our new website that will make booking more streamlined and allow those of you who haven’t visited for a while to see what we have been up to.
